Other Half Pink and Gold Wedding Invitation by Jackie Mangiolino for Minted

MY LIFE FOREVER CHANGED IN 2009

When I stumbled on a new little company called Minted.

At the time, I had left design school and abandoned all dreams of being an artist. I desperately missed having a creative outlet, and was intrigued when I saw a company was holding an open competition for stationery designs. With zero funds and no technical skills, I downloaded a free trial version of Photoshop Elements. After submitting my very first, very awful design, I was quickly hooked on being creative again.

The Minted community

Welcomed me with open arms. Other designers helped coach me, taught me what programs to use, pointed me in the right direction when it came to online education, gave valuable design feedback and critiques, and cheered for me when, five years later, I was able to leave my corporate job and open my own stationery company.

If it weren’t for Minted, perhaps none of this extraordinary journey would have happened.

a creative outlet

Designing for Minted allows me to stretch my creativity, take aesthetic risks, and earn a bit of income (all of my Minted income goes into a savings for my family, so when you buy one of my Minted designs, you’re helping Richie go to college!).

From wedding invitations, to birth announcements and art, you can find a variety of my designs exclusively sold through my favorite online retailer: Minted.
