FONT FRIDAY - HARPER SCRIPT

If you’re a long-time follower, perhaps coming over from Sincerely, Jackie, you know that I’m a self declared font-aholic. I buy fonts the way most women buy shoes: in abundance and without telling my husband. Luckily for me, fonts are a business expense, and my husband has his own shoe obsession, so he can’t judge me.

For over 10 years, I’ve had a series on Sincerely, Jackie called “Font Friday”, where I’ve shared my favorite font finds on Friday. Some years I was able to post every week, and some years the posts were monthly, or even less frequently. Life waxes and wanes, and I’m all about going with the flow of things at this stage of life (running several businesses, keeping up with my toddler, managing the household, etc).

So, YES!, Font Friday is back, and each post will be shared right here on my personal site from here on out. I make zero promises about frequency of posts, but I can promise that they’ll only pop up on Fridays, and I’ll share them on @sincerelyjackiepaper and @jackiemangiolino.

With that wordy introduction out of the way, I bring you Harper Script, dunnnnn da-da dunnn!!

There’s a trend coming down the pike, or perhaps it’s already pulled into the terminal, and it’s line drawing everything. Line drawing flowers, line drawing patterns, and, to my heart’s delight, line drawing fonts. Harper is a modern script typeface that embraces the beautiful simplicity of an outlined semi-formal font.

Harper is all of my favorite things: trendy, clean, easy to read, feels custom, and has a great price point. WIN-WIN-WIN-WIN-WIN. Not only does Harper Script come with the outlined typeface, the font family also includes a filled version and a textured version.

I especially love how Harper is displayed on a variety of packaging materials. When I first came across Harper, I immediately imagined it being used in future packaging projects for The Everyday Mother.

You can buy Harper for just $16 on Creative Market.
